What is stress?

Stress can be a tool that helps us succeed as well as weaken the quality of our lives.




Pros and Cons of Stress:

Pros: Stress motivates people to get work done before deadlines, forces people make different choices, in addition to keeping us alert

When we become overworked…lots of cons associated with stress come into play.

Cons: Stress can create physical sickness due to lack of sleep, and large reduction in comfort levels. Stress affects our health negatively in so many ways.

We often associate stress with negative changes in our daily lives. Weather that is an upcoming exam, a divorce in the family, or losing the life of a loved one, we associate these feelings with stress because we are conditioned to do so.

It is true that stress is a good motivator, however it is good for nothing else.

In a world without stress people would have more positive attitudes, more accepting of life circumstances, relationships lasting longer, increased patience, healthier diets and more exercise leading to less obesity, less medication, and less hospital visits. This list can go on forever, think about how your feel when you do not feel overwhelmed with stress.
