College students and young adults in their 20's are at an interesting age. This is because you really transition into the reality of what you can shape your near feature into. It’s an age to have fun yet make big decisions that can actually make an impact. You may have financials to take yourself somewhere or do something that you have always wanted to on your own. Throughout the past 21 years of my life I have learned many things that have really shaped this past year for me.
"You are unique, you are beautiful, you are enough. "
Here are my 4 tips to achieve self-happiness:
1. Let go of comparisons!
Letting go of the comparison trap can be difficult. As women strive to be like others, try fit in to a specific pair of jeans or have the perfect Instagramable outfits. One-two years ago, I used to count every calorie I putting my body thinking I could monitor the proper amount of every nutrient and stay under the calculated calorie range, after my integrated nutrition course during my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training, I learned and felt that food is medicine. Two years later I have never felt healthier and stronger letting go of that craving.
2. Let go of expectations and perfection.
We were made way we are for a purpose, let’s embrace those gifts and use it to our benefit. Every part of you is a perfection in a way, tattoos, scars, body size, skin color, etc.
3. Appreciate who you are and what you have!
4. Know that you’re enough!
If you focus less on others and start working on yourself, you will become the best version of self and be much happier.
"Be bold, Be happy, Be yourself"
